Fortune #10
Good fortune
Explain a new idea to a friend without reading your notes. Their question may reveal what you understand and what needs another look; saying “let me check” is part of teaching honestly.

STORY & REFLECTION
The Crab Learns from an Example
The Crab and Its Mother · Aesop's fable
A mother crab tells her child to walk straight. The young crab says it will try if the mother can show how.
The mother tries and discovers that she cannot do what she asked. The short fable is less about whether adults may advise and more about the gap between a command and a visible example.
When you explain a lesson to a friend, you may find that a step you thought was easy is hard to describe. Their question is not an attack; it reveals where your understanding could grow.
Teach one solution step by step. If you get stuck, look for the reason together. An honest explanation helps both the listener and the speaker.
