Fortune #25
Mixed — reflect carefully
A friend's score can draw attention away from your own work. Look at what you can do better now and which skill still needs practice; that is information you can use.

STORY & REFLECTION
The Other Seat Has Its Own Burden
Damocles · a traditional tale
In a traditional tale, Damocles envies a king surrounded by fine food and comfort. The king lets him take that seat, and for a moment he enjoys the life he admired from a distance.
Then he sees a sword hanging above him by a single horsehair. His delight turns to worry. The story warns that an outside view may leave out another person's burden.
A classmate's score is also only part of the picture. You do not see all their time, support, or difficulties. Their number tells you less about your next step than your own work does.
Choose one skill from your latest assessment and check where you are now. A comparison should guide practice, not decide your value.
Reflection
Someone else's score cannot diagnose your next skill.

A question to reflect on
Without seeing anyone else's score, what would you practice next?
