STORY & REFLECTION
The drawer full of undecided things
Guidance-based illustration · The drawer full of undecided things
Illustrative scene: Someone wants more space, but the sight of old boxes makes every item feel like a decision due today. They close the cupboard without starting.
They sort one drawer into regularly used, shareable, and undecided items, with a date to revisit the difficult ones. A little space returns without forcing every memory out at once.
NIMH recommends setting priorities, making time for suitable relaxing activities, and noticing what has been accomplished. Self-care need not wait until every task is finished.
Progress can be drawer-sized rather than room-sized.
