STORY & REFLECTION
A rumor in the building chat
Guidance-based illustration · A rumor in the building chat
Illustrative scene: A building chat spreads a claim that the lift will close for a structural problem. Residents begin canceling plans without any notice from management.
One resident contacts building management and asks for a written notice. The actual plan is a short scheduled service, so they share the verified notice and timing.
WHO warns that false information can spread harm and recommends checking its source before sharing. For safety-related claims, ask the responsible organization directly when possible.
One verification can slow worry that travels faster than facts.
