They send a message naming the missing month, the files already checked, and the need for an answer by tomorrow. The other team can then provide the data or an explicitly labeled provisional figure.
Atlassian's dependency mapping identifies whose information or work is needed and who will be affected by a delay. Named handoffs and follow-up times reduce ownerless waiting.
Asking in time makes a risk visible. It is not surrendering responsibility for your work.
