Fortune #33
Mixed — reflect carefully
A grade describes one piece of work at one point in time. It does not measure your worth. Let yourself feel the result, then separate what went well from what you want to practice next.

STORY & REFLECTION
The Lamp Need Not Outshine the Sun
The Lamp · Aesop's fable
A lamp in Aesop's fable boasts that its light exceeds the sun's. One gust of wind puts it out. Its owner relights it and tells it to shine according to its own nature.
The story compares things that need not compete. A lamp and the sun serve different purposes; less brightness does not make the lamp worthless.
A grade reports on one piece of work under particular conditions. It does not name a whole person. Another student's score does not tell you that you must learn at the same pace.
After a result, name one strength and one skill to practice. Let the number guide learning instead of turning it into your identity.
Reflection
A grade describes one performance, not a person.
A small action today
List one strength and one next skill after the result.
A question to reflect on
Beyond the grade, what did this work teach you about how you learn?
