Mixed — reflect carefully
Before citing a source, check who wrote it, when, and what evidence it uses. Confident wording alone does not make a claim reliable; a quick check gives your work a firmer base.

STORY & REFLECTION
The Doe Who Watched Only One Side
The One-Eyed Doe · Aesop's fable
A one-eyed doe in a fable grazes by the sea. She turns her seeing eye toward land, assuming any danger will come from there, and leaves the other side unwatched.
Danger comes from the water instead. The point is not to blame the doe's disability. It is to question an assumption that one side is automatically safe when no one has checked it.
A source used in an assignment can have an unwatched side too. Confident prose may lack evidence, be too old for the question, or come from someone with an interest in the claim.
Before citing it, check the author, date, and supporting evidence. If something is weak, trace the origin or compare another source. Looking at what you missed makes the work stronger.
Reflection
The source matters as much as the wording you read.
