Caution
When a learning difficulty stays hidden for weeks, asking can feel harder each day. Tell an instructor or someone you trust where you are stuck and what help would make a difference.

STORY & REFLECTION
The Boy Who Talked About Going to Sea
George Washington · a published anecdote
An old published anecdote says a young George Washington wanted to go to sea. His brothers helped arrange a place, and he prepared for the journey.
His mother worried, and seeing her feelings led him to reconsider. The old children's book dramatizes details, so treat this as a prompt to think about conversation, not a record of every word spoken at home.
A learning problem kept entirely private gives others little chance to help. Naming the chapter, deadline, or worry allows a more useful response.
Choose one person you can talk to. Describe the specific problem and the help you want. You remain responsible for your studies, but you need not take every step without anyone knowing.
