STORY & REFLECTION
A one-page shoe return policy
Guidance-based illustration · A one-page shoe return policy
Illustrative scene: A shoe shop's return terms are one long paragraph. A buyer discovers the fit is wrong but cannot tell when to contact the shop or whether to keep the box.
The owner rewrites it as short steps covering timing, contact, condition, and the shop's response. Someone unfamiliar with the policy explains it back before it goes live.
The SBA notes that operations such as service, returns, and after-sale support shape the customer experience. Improving a concrete service step can matter as much as attracting a new buyer.
Clear terms reduce uncertainty before a problem occurs.
Reflection
