Mixed — reflect carefully
If you answer messages while reading, it becomes hard to tell what you have learned. Give one short block to the lesson alone, then check messages during a break.

A quote for you

- It is also a study peculiarly adapted to an early stage in the education of philosophical students, since it does not presuppose the slow process of acquiring, by experience and reflection, valuable thoughts of their own.
STORY & REFLECTION
The Men Who Forgot Their Errand
Three Men of Gotham · a published tale
In a humorous published tale, two men meet on a bridge. One is going to buy sheep; the other is returning from market. They begin arguing over how sheep that have not even been bought will cross.
The argument grows until a passerby interrupts. Their energy has gone into a problem with no sheep in sight. The tale is not against conversation; it shows how easily attention can leave the real task.
Study time can drift the same way: read a paragraph, answer a message, search for something else, and rearrange the desk. Time passes, but it is unclear what you can now answer.
Give one short block to one learning task. Return to other errands afterward. If an unrelated thought appears, write it down without chasing it immediately.
