Being fluent with one example is progress. Try a few variations of the same topic so you can recognize the principle when the next question looks different.

A quote for you

- The biggest mistake of past centuries in teaching has been to treat all children as if they were variants of the same individual, and thus to feel justified in teaching them the same subjects in the same ways.
STORY & REFLECTION
The Bees Distinguish Two Garlands
Solomon and the Queen of Sheba · a published tale
In a published tale, the Queen of Sheba holds two similar garlands and asks King Solomon which contains real flowers. Looking closely does not settle the question for everyone.
Solomon opens a window. Bees fly toward one garland, giving the court another clue. This is an old tale, not a repeatable scientific record.
Problems can look alike while a small condition calls for a different method. Practicing only one form may teach you to recognize the surface rather than the clue that matters.
Try three versions of one topic and circle the words that change your method. If a clue is unclear, revisit the underlying principle before doing more of the same problem.
